Morson is delighted to be working in partnership with Safran, a leading Aerospace organisation to recruit a number of

Schedulers for initial 6 month contracts. The roles are based in Gloucester and there are 3 different shifts and rates on offer:

Day Shift- Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm (37 Hours) Pay Rate- £22.50 PAYE Per Hour

Bridging Shift- Monday to Thursday 4:00pm to 9:45pm and Friday 12:30pm to 12 Midnight (34 Hours 10 Minutes) Pay Rate- £31.44 PAYE Per Hour

Night Shift- Monday to Wednesday 9:45pm to 7:30am and Thursday 9:45pm to 6:50am (37 Hours) Pay Rate- £31.16 PAYE Per Hour

Job Purpose and Impact

Expediters operate within the scheduling team under the Scheduling Manager and act as the operational owners of critical parts and recovery-plan orders once released to production.Through proactive follow-up and cross-functional coordination, they help secure on-time delivery and strict adherence to recovery plans.They ensure uninterrupted flow through the manufacturing process by identifying and eliminating waiting time, coordinating priorities across functions, and driving rapid resolution of constraints. Their primary objective is to accelerate throughput and ensure strict adherence to recovery plans and secure on-time delivery commitments.They provide close, day-to-day coordination for critical parts and recovery-plan items, ensuring seamless progression through every production step.

Key Responsibilities• Own and manage a portfolio of critical parts and recovery-plan orders from release through shipment.• Conduct end-to-end tracking of critical parts through every manufacturing operation and support function.• Identify and eliminate waiting time and non-value-added delays between operations.• Ensure no critical part remains without a defined next action, owner or recovery plan.• Coordinate closely with

Schedulers, Production Managers/Team Leaders, Quality Technicians, Logistics teams and Operators, to remove obstacles and maintain flow.• Lead daily critical-part reviews and communicate priorities through

Schedulers.• Drive immediate escalation and resolution of operational constraints including manpower, machine availability, quality issues and material shortages.• Monitor adherence to recovery plans and challenge priorities where required to protect delivery commitments.• Support continuous reduction of manufacturing lead time and improvement of on-time delivery performance.Simply hit the ‘Apply Now’ button to submit a CV for consideration.
