Modish Furnishing is a growing UK furniture retailer specialising in distinctive, contemporary furniture for homes across the country. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team and help ensure our warehouse and order fulfilment operations run smoothly.

This is a hands-on warehouse position with some administrative responsibilities, so we are looking for someone who is organised, comfortable using computer systems and confident communicating with other members of the team.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

n

    n

  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and safely.
  • n

  • Print shipping labels and prepare orders for daily courier collections.
  • n

  • Ensure the correct products, packaging and shipping documentation are used for each order.
  • n

  • Update order statuses and tracking information within our systems.
  • n

  • Palletise orders safely and in accordance with courier requirements.
  • n

  • Receive, unload and store incoming stock and supplier deliveries.
  • n

  • Assist with unloading containers and ensure stock is stored efficiently within the warehouse.
  • n

  • Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies..
  • n

  • Operate a forklift when required.
  • n

  • Keep the warehouse organised, tidy and safe, including condensing and relocating stock to maximise available space.
  • n

  • Prepare warehouse space ahead of incoming stock deliveries.
  • n

  • Ensure goods being collected by couriers are correctly recorded and accounted for.
  • n

  • Communicate regularly with the Customer Support team regarding order cancellations, delayed dispatches, replacement parts and other order-related issues.
  • n

  • Attend a weekly team meeting with the Customer Support team to discuss any outstanding orders, stock or fulfilment issues.
  • n

  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve warehouse, fulfilment and stock processes.
  • n

What We're Looking For

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • n

  • Comfortable using computers and basic IT systems.
  • n

  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • n

  • Good communication skills.
  • n

  • Ability to work in a busy warehouse environment and manage daily priorities.
  • n

  • A responsible approach to stock handling, workplace safety and customer orders.
  • n

Desirable

n

    n

  • Previous warehouse, picking and packing experience.
  • n

  • Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), particularly Linnworks.
  • n

  • Previous experience receiving and managing stock deliveries.
  • n

  • Forklift licence or previous forklift experience – training can be provided if required.
  • n

  • Experience working within an e-commerce or order fulfilment environment.
  • n

Working Days: Monday – Friday

Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
