Quantity Surveyor – Highways

Overview

Experienced Highways Quantity Surveyor needed to support schemes in Berkshire/Oxfordshire, including Aylesbury and Oxford. You will join a small commercial team and work closely with the client to deliver cost control, measurement, and payments. The role centers on NEC contract administration, cost/value reporting, and subcontractor accounts within civil/highways road projects. You will contribute to project success by ensuring accurate cost data and timely commercial outcomes. This is an opportunity to impact highway scheme delivery within a leading contractor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly cost/value reports for the area and analyze trends with the contract team
• Measure works and validate with client and subcontractors
• Agree subcontractor payments and monitor accounts
• Ensure familiarity and compliance with NEC forms of contract
• Apply recent highways sector experience to civils/road construction projects

Key requirements

• Recent highways sector experience (3–5 years)
