Turn brand ambition into campaigns and experiences that inspire our guests

Hand Picked Hotels was founded in 2001 by owner and Chairman, Julia Hands MBE, and today remains a family-owned group with 21 unique luxury country houses and coastal retreats, each hand picked for their individuality. Architecturally distinctive and quintessentially British, every hotel enjoys an extraordinary location from Scotland to the Channel Islands, with views spanning countryside, beaches and woodland.

Dedicated to creating unique and enchanting stays, curated personalised service runs through the heart of every hotel. While each property is individual, all share our values of family, individuality, community and care, together with a commitment to aiming higher and delighting guests with memorable experiences.

Hand Picked Hotels is committed to protecting the environment for a sustainable future, and all our hotels have received Green Tourism accreditation in recognition of progress in reducing energy use and waste, supporting biodiversity and sourcing responsibly.

We’re looking for an experienced Group Marketing Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day marketing activity for our hotels.

This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity for a commercially minded marketer who enjoys bringing people and plans together. You’ll translate briefs into well-organised, integrated activity that strengthens our brand, supports hotel priorities and creates compelling reasons for guests to visit.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll work closely with divisional and central marketing teams, and the General Managers and colleagues across our hotels to coordinate activity around clear commercial priorities.

You’ll lead campaigns from initial brief through to launch and evaluation, bringing together creative, digital, CRM, media, PR, social and property teams to deliver consistently high-quality work across every relevant guest touchpoint.

With responsibility spanning brand campaigns, hotel activations, content, partnerships and budget support, you’ll balance forward planning with responsive delivery in a varied role at the heart of the Group marketing function.

Drive integrated campaigns and commercial performance

  • Lead the planning and delivery of integrated brand and seasonal campaigns across relevant channels, including Christmas, weddings, meetings and events, food and beverage, partnerships and hotel-led activity.
  • Manage each campaign from initial brief through to launch, setting clear objectives, timelines, responsibilities and measures of success.
  • Coordinate post-campaign evaluation and turn performance insight into practical recommendations for future activity.
  • Keep day-to-day brand, digital and campaign delivery moving effectively across internal teams, agencies and external partners.

Bring hotel activations and guest propositions to life

  • Develop and support coordinated hotel activations and events that strengthen the guest proposition and create commercially viable reasons to visit.
  • Support hotel and divisional plans across weddings, food and beverage, spa, meetings, conferences and sales engagement initiatives.
  • Work with General Managers, Sales and Events Managers, Spa Managers, business support teams and wider commercial colleagues to align activity with business priorities.
  • Ensure operational considerations are understood early so that events and activations can be delivered safely, smoothly and successfully.

Connect brand content and channels

  • Brief and collaborate with Creative, Digital, CRM, Media, PR and Social teams and agencies to deliver joined-up marketing activity.
  • Ensure event propositions, packages and campaigns are represented accurately and compellingly across the website, CRM, paid media, organic social and other relevant channels.
  • Identify content and asset requirements, coordinating photography, video, copy and campaign collateral to support Group and hotel priorities.
  • Champion the Hand Picked Hotels brand, ensuring campaigns, experiences and communications meet our visual identity and tone-of-voice standards.
  • Support local partnerships that extend audience reach, strengthen brand positioning and help our hotels connect with their markets.

Deliver with strong governance and control

  • Own the production and management of key branded materials, assets and imagery across internal teams, agencies and external suppliers.
  • Work with Legal and relevant stakeholders to ensure promotions, competitions, partnerships and activations meet legal, regulatory and brand requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate risk assessments and operational considerations are included in relevant events and activations.
  • Support effective management of the marketing budget through accurate forecasting, expenditure tracking and a clear focus on agreed objectives.

About you

You will be a capable and commercially aware marketing professional who is equally comfortable planning campaigns, coordinating delivery and working closely with stakeholders across a multi-site business. Organised, collaborative and hands‑on, you’ll know how to keep several priorities moving without losing sight of brand quality or commercial purpose.

You will also bring:

  • Strong general marketing experience, ideally gained within hotels.
  • Experience planning and delivering integrated, multi‑channel campaigns from brief through to evaluation.
  • A practical understanding of brand, digital, CRM, paid media, social, PR and content delivery.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage several priorities and deadlines.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills and the ability to build productive relationships with hotel teams, central specialists, agencies and suppliers.
  • Sound commercial judgement, including experience supporting budgets, monitoring expenditure and measuring campaign performance.
  • A strong eye for brand consistency, content quality and detail across customer-facing communications.
  • The confidence to work independently, solve problems and keep delivery moving in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and positive approach.

Why join Hand Picked Hotels?

This is a varied role with genuine scope to influence how we connect our brand, our hotels and our guests. If you’re an organised, creative marketer who enjoys turning plans into polished delivery, we’d love to hear from you.
