Overview

As a controls & performance professional, you will establish baselines for cost and schedule, monitor performance, and integrate risk, opportunities, and changes. You will identify trends, drive remedial actions, and ensure value for the client through governance and reporting. You’ll work with a remote cost-management team, guide the contractor on schedule and cash flow, and lead change management and risk analysis to protect project outcomes. This role supports complex projects in defence, data centres, life sciences and more, under a security-clearance requirement. You will be a pivotal interface with clients and vendors to keep programs on track and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Establish baselines for cost and schedule and monitor deviations
  • Lead evaluation of time, cost, and quality targets with governance controls
  • Coordinate with remote cost managers to achieve a market-tested cost baseline
  • Guide contractor progress with schedule and cash flow adherence
  • Act as client’s main point of contact for delivery and commercial issues with formal/ad hoc reporting
  • Control costs via conceptual estimating, funding gates, contingencies, and procurement principles
  • Create/maintain cost reports and executive dashboards
  • Lead change management processes and workflows
  • Coordinate planning sessions to compile master project/programme schedule and baselines
  • Define vendor schedule requirements and manage procurement lead times
  • Incorporate project risks into Monte Carlo analyses for cost and schedule impacts
  • Communicate status of changes and secure approvals through change management
  • Hold vendors accountable for timely schedule updates and quality expectations

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in project controls coordination across the project lifecycle
