As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will develop mechanical building services designs from concept to delivery, working with a skilled team of engineers and CAD technicians. You will contribute to a variety of sectors, from commercial to healthcare, ensuring designs meet regulations and client expectations. Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical building services designs, calculations, specifications and drawings
• Lead or support mechanical design packages across multiple projects
• Coordinate with internal design teams, CAD specialists and external consultants
• Attend site surveys, inspections and design meetings
• Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, industry standards and client expectations
• Manage own workload while contributing to wider team delivery

Key requirements

• Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• Experience delivering mechanical building services designs within a consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, UK Building Regulations and design standards
• Effective communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently on design tasks and manage deadlines
• Desirable: experience in MOD or secure-environment projects
