Overview
In this role you will lead in-house gas works for domestic housing, ensuring safe, compliant servicing and repairs. You will work closely with the in-house gas team to deliver essential heating maintenance and landlords’ certificates. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs, and document progress using PDA and SORs, while visiting resident premises. This role combines field work across Islington with cross-department collaboration to support borough housing resilience and safety. Responsibilities
- perform general gas works in domestic housing and flats
- issue landlords’ certificates and service/repair boilers and heating systems
- conduct fault diagnostics and repairs on modern/traditional boilers
- document job progression and completion using SORs via PDA
- carry out field visits to residents’ premises for repairs/servicing/installation
- liaise with suppliers, other trades operatives, and Council departments to complete jobs
