Responsibilities
- Manage contract with external design consultants alongside Project Manager
- Lead multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver solutions to required design levels
- Evaluate designs and propose improvements
- Collaborate with technical, operational, maintenance and strategic stakeholders
- Liaise with Clients, Engineering Managers, Project Managers, Contractors and Consultants on issues, scope changes and risks
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years of design and management experience
- Experience across full project lifecycle and multiple sectors
- Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and consultant performance
- Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and common data environments
- Degree/HNC in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Excellent communication skills and client/staff liaison ability
- Self-driven and results-oriented with good time and people management
