Overview
In this role you will lead the management and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System to ensure UK/EU regulatory compliance. You will integrate quality assurance across manufacturing, packaging, and distribution, reporting to the Head of Quality. The position focuses on driving quality improvements, overseeing audits, CAPA, and risk management to protect product quality and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the QMS in compliance with EU/UK regulations, food supplement and cosmetic regulations, and ISO standards
- Keep policies, procedures, work instructions, and records current and effective
- Drive continuous improvement of quality systems and monitor quality metrics
- Provide QA oversight for manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, distribution, and outsourced activities
- Support HACCP implementation and cosmetic product quality compliance
- Lead investigations for deviations, non-conformances, OOS results, and customer complaints with robust root cause analysis and CAPA
- Manage the site Change Control process, conduct quality impact and risk assessments, promote Quality Risk Management
- Oversee internal audit programme, lead self-inspections, manage supplier qualification and auditing
Key requirements
- Degree in Pharmacy
- Significant experience in a pharmaceutical quality role in a GMP environment
- Proven experience managing quality systems and leading audits
- Lead Auditor qualification advantageous
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or ISO 22000
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, high attention to detail, and strong organisational and project management abilities
