Apply for the Full-Time Live-In Nanny for Baby in Belgravia, London
Location: City of Westminster
Job Description:

A warm and welcoming private family is seeking an experienced, proactive and nurturing Live-In Nanny to join their household and take primary responsibility for their baby when it arrives in Dec.

This is a full-time position working 5 days per week, 12 hours per day, with flexibility around the days worked. The family may require some weekend working, in which case the nanny’s two days off would fall during the week. During the first few months, there will also be a Night Nanny in place to support the family overnight and ensure the newborn has a smooth and well-supported start.

The primary focus of the role will be the new baby, providing attentive, knowledgeable and nurturing care and supporting the baby’s development and daily routine. The family are looking for someone with recent newborn experience who is confident caring for a young baby and understands the importance of creating a calm, safe and nurturing environment. When the baby is sleeping or Mum is spending time with the baby, the nanny will be happy to lend a hand around the home. This may include helping the existing household staff with light housekeeping, keeping the children’s areas organised and generally supporting the smooth running of the household. Cooking would also be a welcome additional skill, particularly preparing simple, healthy family meals when required.

The family already have nannies caring for their other children, so the successful candidate should be comfortable working alongside other childcare professionals and contributing positively as part of a team. While the newborn will be the priority, there will naturally be times when the nanny is around the other children, and they would like someone who is warm, engaging and comfortable in a busy family environment.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised and able to use their initiative, understanding what needs to be done without always needing direction. They should be flexible, discreet and genuinely enjoy working as part of a private household team. Recent and substantial newborn experience is essential, along with a calm and nurturing approach and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and other staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced newborn nanny seeking a long-term live-in position within a well-supported private household, where the successful candidate will be valued as an important member of the family’s childcare team.
