A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to join the compliance function of a growing international insurance group.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance & Governance, you will play a key role in supporting the Group’s compliance framework and ensuring the business continues to meet its regulatory obligations across the jurisdictions in which it operates.

The Role

You will have a broad remit across compliance, working closely with colleagues across the business and acting as a key point of contact for day‑to‑day compliance matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of Group compliance policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the Compliance Monitoring Plan and risk-based compliance framework.
  • Undertaking TOBA reviews, market partner due diligence and ongoing oversight.
  • Supporting Lloyd’s Atlas and delegated oversight activities.
  • Conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
  • Managing sanctions screening and escalating potential matches.
  • Supporting the oversight of Appointed Representatives.
  • Assisting with underwriting and claims peer reviews.
  • Supporting FCA regulatory reporting, including RegData and Connect.
  • Maintaining compliance registers covering areas such as breaches, complaints, conflicts of interest and gifts & hospitality.
  • Supporting regulatory training, management information and quarterly Board reporting.
  • Providing day‑to‑day compliance guidance to brokers, underwriters and internal stakeholders.
  • Assisting with complaints investigations and regulatory responses.
  • Supporting the review of legal and commercial documentation.

About You

We are looking for an experienced compliance professional with a good understanding of the insurance market and UK regulatory environment. You will ideally have experience across areas such as compliance monitoring, TOBAs, due diligence, sanctions, regulatory reporting and compliance frameworks.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working across a broad range of compliance activities and engaging with stakeholders throughout the business.
