About the role
You’ll be responsible for nurturing and growing established global customer accounts, while also identifying and developing new business opportunities across the automotive sector.
You’ll act as a trusted commercial contact for customers, building strong relationships across departments including Engineering, Procurement, Marketing and Design. Your ability to communicate confidently, understand customer needs and bring people together will be key to your success.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A strong communicator who can build genuine, lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Experienced in key account management, with a natural ability to nurture and grow existing accounts.
- Driven and motivated, with the commercial confidence to identify opportunities and turn them into new business.
- A proactive business developer who enjoys finding new opportunities and taking them through to completion.
- A genuine team player who enjoys working collaboratively within a small, close-knit team.
- Comfortable working across multiple functions and bringing together commercial, technical and customer requirements.
- Organised and commercially minded, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities and priorities.
- Confident representing a business at customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing and developing a portfolio of global automotive customers.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business.
- Supporting commercial bids, RFIs and RFQs.
- Working closely with engineering and customer teams to deliver successful programmes.
- Developing account plans and monitoring opportunities, sales activity and customer requirements.
- Supporting forecasting, reporting and commercial planning.
- Representing the business at customer meetings, networking events and industry activities.
About you
Ideally, you’ll have 5+ years’ experience managing and growing corporate accounts, with a proven track record in relationship management and business development.
Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, automotive, technology licensing or consultancy would be advantageous. Most importantly, you’ll be a confident communicator who is commercially minded, motivated and passionate about building strong customer relationships.
