Are you passionate about supporting people to achieve greater independence and positive futures?

Do you have experience in support services and enjoy taking responsibility, coordinating teams and making sure people receive high-quality, person-centred support?

We’re looking for a Lead Service Coordinator to join BCHA Support Services and play an important role in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of our services.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced support professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and have a greater role in supporting colleagues, improving quality and making a positive difference to the people we support.

As Lead Service Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the Operational Manager to help coordinate the day-to-day running of the service and ensure people receive safe, consistent and high-quality support.

You’ll provide guidance and support to colleagues, help coordinate staffing and workloads, monitor the quality of support being delivered and ensure that the voices and experiences of the people we support remain at the centre of everything we do.

Our approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed and psychologically informed. We’re looking for someone who shares our belief that everyone should have the opportunity to build confidence, independence and a positive future.

You will:

  • Support the Operational Manager with the day-to-day coordination of the service.
  • Act as a key point of contact for staff, customers and partner agencies.
  • Help coordinate rotas and staffing arrangements to ensure the service is appropriately resourced.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, support and direction to colleagues.
  • Support team meetings, house meetings, forums and other opportunities for participation and feedback.
  • Promote high standards of person-centred support and positive outcomes.
  • Support colleagues to complete high-quality assessments, support plans, reviews and pathway planning.
  • Carry out initial quality checks of case files and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support internal audits and identify areas where service quality can be improved.
  • Help monitor KPIs, service outcomes and reporting requirements.
  • Support the coordination of referrals, assessments and admissions.
  • Attend professional, safeguarding, multi-agency and risk meetings where required.
  • Support effective risk management and ensure safeguarding concerns are identified and responded to appropriately.
  • Build positive relationships with partner agencies and professionals.
  • Support the delivery of inductions, mandatory training and ongoing learning within the team.
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and a psychologically informed approach.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, health and safety and safeguarding requirements are followed.
  • Support the Operational Manager with service development and continuous improvement.
  • Take responsibility for agreed areas of the service and deputise for the Operational Manager when required.
