Our client is a speciality manufacturer of technical machinery & equipment, and they are seeking aMechanical Fitter / PDI Technician to join their existing team. As a Mechanical Fitter / PDI Technician, you will inspect and rectify technical issues by using bench hand tools on products.

Mechanical Fitter / PDI TechnicianResponsibilities:

• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections on new and pre-owned machinery prior to release
• Testing products including hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
• Check wiring harnesses, electrical components and hydraulic components
• Identify and rectify any faults during the Pre-Delivery Inspections
• Recording defects and completed rectification work accurately
• Refurbishing pre-owned machinery from time to time

Mechanical Fitter / PDI TechnicianRequirements:

• Previous hands-on mechanical technician, fitter or machinery maintenance experience essential
• Strong mechanical aptitude with confident fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and build information
• Confidence operating and testing machinery and assessing whether it is functioning correctly
• Must be a team player

ThisMechanical Fitter / PDI Technician position is based in Evesham and is commutable from Pershore, Worcester, Bidford-on-Avon, Tewkesbury and Alcester.
