Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Logistics & Customer Service Administrator to join a busy and well-established distribution company based in the Bingham area of Nottingham.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining customer service, logistics and stock administration. You’ll be the point of contact for customer queries, deliveries, returns and courier issues, while also helping to keep orders, stock and day-to-day operations running smoothly.

What’s on offer?

  • £28,000 – £30,000 per annum

  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

What will you be doing?

  • Responding to customer emails and queries relating to orders, deliveries and returns

  • Providing customers with accurate updates on orders and delivery times

  • Managing the end-to-end returns process, including checking returned goods and updating stock

  • Investigating stock discrepancies and making inventory adjustments

  • Liaising with couriers regarding collections, deliveries and failed or delayed shipments

  • Chasing outstanding deliveries and resolving issues with courier companies

  • Raising and following up delivery investigations and claims where required

  • Managing customer and operational queries relating to Amazon orders

  • Monitoring orders and taking action where issues arise

  • Working closely with internal teams, couriers and other stakeholders to resolve problems

  • Supporting general stock control and logistics administration

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident dealing with customers and operational issues.

You should have:

  • Previous experience in customer service, logistics, order processing or a similar administration role

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Good IT skills and confidence using email and business systems

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving

  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks

  • Experience with stock, inventory, returns, deliveries or courier management would be advantageous
