We have one long-term Business Studies Teacher vacancy available, offering an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking for a consistent role within a supportive secondary school and sixth form environment. The successful A-Level & BTEC Business Studies Teacher will deliver engaging and challenging lessons, developing students’ knowledge and understanding of key business concepts including marketing, finance, operations, human resources, entrepreneurship and business strategy across A-Level and BTEC qualifications. - Teach A-Level and BTEC Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with examination board specifications
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire student achievement
- Teach key business topics including marketing, finance, operations and entrepreneurship
- Prepare students for examinations, coursework and vocational assessments
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support attainment
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance and academic success
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the wider Business and Social Sciences faculty
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching A-Level Business Studies and/or BTEC Business
- Have strong subject knowledge across core business disciplines
- Demonstrate a proven ability to achieve strong student outcomes
- Be confident teaching both academic and vocational pathways
- Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Have strong communication and organisational skills
- Be passionate about developing students’ commercial awareness and career aspirations
- Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
- Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service
- Experienced teachers and suitable ECTs are encouraged to apply
