Location: Barnet/Colindale – NW9 4EWContract: 9 months secondment coverSalary: 14.80 per hourHours: Full time 35 hours, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8am – 6pm

Hybrid working 2/3 days a week in the office

We are seeking an Accommodation Solutions Administrator to join our Accommodation Solutions Team, playing a vital role in helping households prevent homelessness and access safe, suitable housing.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and customer-focused professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. As an Accommodation Solutions Administrator, you will provide high quality housing advice and support, helping customers understand their housing options while ensuring accurate case management and excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide housing advice, homelessness prevention support and housing needs assessments to customers.
  • Support the allocation and sign-up of applicants into temporary accommodation.
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience through telephone, email and face-to-face interactions.
  • Maintain accurate case records, databases and supporting documentation.
  • Work closely with landlords, tenants and partner agencies to support positive housing outcomes.
  • Identify and report safeguarding concerns, suspected fraud and other issues in line with procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and customer outcomes.
  • Keep up to date with relevant housing legislation and communicate information clearly to customers.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Confidence engaging with a wide range of customers, including vulnerable individuals and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of homelessness legislation, housing options services or landlord and tenant law would be advantageous but is not essential.
