Freelance Site Manager – Internal Fit-Out – Glasgow

Start: 22 October 2026

Duration: Two weeks – holiday cover

Rate: To be agreed depending on experience

Clarkson Owens Recruitment is looking for an experienced freelance Site Manager to provide two weeks of holiday cover on an internal fit-out project within an existing building in Glasgow.

n

n

You will oversee daily site operations, coordinate trades and maintain progress, quality and health and safety standards during the cover period.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
• Manage subcontractors, trades and day-to-day site activities.

n

• Maintain progress against the agreed programme.

n

• Coordinate materials and deliveries.

n

• Monitor workmanship against drawings and specifications.

n

• Maintain site records and communicate progress to the project team.

n

• Ensure a clear handover with the Site Manager before and after the cover period.

n

Requirements

n

n
• Previous Site Manager experience on internal fit-out or refurbishment projects.

n

• Ability to take over an established site and manage works independently.

n

• Strong communication and subcontractor management skills.

n

• SMSTS, a relevant CSCS card and First Aid certification.

n

• Available from 22 October for the full two-week assignment.
