Job Description:

Procurement Manager – Professional Services & IT Client: Fs Company Location: Manchester – hybrid, typically 2 days onsite per week Rate: £350 per day – Inside IR35 / Umbrella Contract: 6 months Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of supplier contracts and renewals, helping work through a significant existing contract portfolio.
  • Manage day-to-day procurement activity across Professional Services, IT and wider indirect categories.
  • Support RFPs, tenders, sourcing activity and supplier negotiations.
  • Manage supplier relationships and support supplier performance.
  • Review contracts, commercial terms and renewal requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver appropriate procurement solutions.
  • Support spend analysis, benchmarking and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure procurement activity follows appropriate governance, risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate contract and supplier information within procurement systems.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and ways of working.
  • Work closely with the wider team to keep procurement activity moving during a period of growth and change.

About You

  • Solid procurement experience, within Financial Services or Insurance.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment – essential.
  • Experience managing suppliers, contracts and renewals.
  • Exposure to Professional Services and/or IT procurement is highly desirable.
  • Experience with RFPs, tenders, sourcing and commercial negotiations.
  • Good understanding of contract lifecycle management and supplier governance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A commercially minded and analytical approach.
  • The ability to hit the ground running and work with limited hand-holding.
  • Experience working within a growing or developing procurement function would be advantageous.
  • Someone who is proactive, switched on and comfortable asking the right questions.
