Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to optimize production processes and support manufacturing operations in East London . This role focuses on ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and quality of mechanical systems and equipment used in the manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in process improvement, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing engineering solutions to enhance output and reduce costs. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design, implement, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment used in production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that disrupt manufacturing operations, minimizing downtime.
• Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement process improvements and new tooling solutions.
• Develop and manage technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Proven ability to analyze and improve manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, tooling, and industrial machinery.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a production environment.
