Operations Manager

Overview

As Operations Manager you will lead the sites operational strategy and drive performance across manufacturing, CI, and transformation initiatives. You will deputise for the Site Director and shape future capability while building cross-functional relationships to support growth. The role focuses on improving safety, quality, service, cost, and sustainability, with accountability for leading change at pace in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will work to ensure long-term, sustainable site success and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the sites operational strategy and drive productivity and continuous improvement.
• Deputise for the Site Director and provide leadership across key functions and stakeholder groups.
• Lead major business transformation projects to enhance safety, quality, service, cost, and sustainability.
• Develop future leadership through talent identification, succession planning, and coaching.
• Build cross-functional relationships to support growth, customer satisfaction, and excellence.

Key requirements

• Senior leadership experience in a fast-paced FMCG/food manufacturing environment.
• Strong people leadership with experience managing large teams and developing talent.
• Proven success leading change, transformation, and continuous improvement programmes.
• Commercially astute with budget management experience.
• Ability to influence at senior level and lead effectively through change and ambiguity.
