An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated manufacturing facility in Slough.This role would suit a Lead Engineer, Senior Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, PLC Engineer or Reliability Engineer looking to join a business that is investing heavily in its people, equipment and automation capabilities.Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will take a leading role in maintaining and improving production equipment, supporting automation systems, driving reliability improvements and delivering engineering projects across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Lead maintenance activities across a highly automated manufacturing facilityFault-find and repair PLC-controlled production equipmentSupport and improve automation, controls and electrical systemsCarry out planned and reactive maintenance activitiesDrive continuous improvement and reliability initiativesImprove machine uptime, efficiency and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)Support engineering projects, equipment upgrades and new installationsManage PLC backups and control system documentationProvide technical support and guidance to the engineering teamParticipate in the engineering call-out rota
Skills & Experience
Experience as a Lead Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Automation Engineer or Electrical EngineerStrong electrical fault-finding skillsPLC fault-finding experience within manufacturing or production environmentsExperience working on automated machinery and production linesKnowledge of continuous improvement and reliability techniquesExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and lead engineering initiatives
