Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end procurement activities for a fast-paced leisure client, acting as a trusted partner to unlock efficiencies, reduce risk, and shape procurement strategy. You will influence senior stakeholders, own sourcing across categories, and drive measurable cost savings. The position offers high visibility, ownership, and opportunities to impact cross-functional teams through data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver category sourcing strategies
  • Lead end-to-end tender processes (supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, contract award)
  • Negotiate commercial agreements to maximise value and minimise risk
  • Partner with budget holders and contract managers to shape procurement plans
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders to influence decisions
  • Support contract governance, lifecycle management and documentation
  • Analyse supplier spend and procurement data (Power BI) to generate insights
  • Monitor procurement performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensure compliance, governance, risk management and sustainability in procurement
  • Identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes, systems, and ways of working
  • Deliver excellent internal customer service across interactions

Key requirements

  • Experience in a commercial or procurement role, ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence at all levels
  • Proven track record delivering sourcing strategies and managing tenders
  • Excellent analytical skills with data-driven decision-making
  • Confident negotiator with strong commercial acumen
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive, solutions-driven approach
