Overview

As a Software Engineer in Wise’s Treasury FX Risk team, you’ll help deliver real-time FX risk calculations and liquidity-focused data services. You’ll work with Data Science and Trading to hedge risks accurately while scaling and maintaining mission-critical infrastructure. You’ll build scalable, reliable systems that stream market data and translate transactions into current and forecasted money movements. This role offers the chance to shape Wise’s financial backbone, collaborating across Operations, Analytics, Trading, and Product to align technical work with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and scale real-time FX risk data services and exchange-rate infrastructure
  • Design and implement real-time data streaming flows for risk metrics
  • Improve performance for large data volumes and build fault-tolerant solutions
  • Collaborate with Operations, Analytics, Trading, and Product to align technical and business objectives
  • Gain domain expertise in finance and treasury through hands-on contribution to Wise’s financial infrastructure
  • Ensure reliability, security, and high availability of critical services
  • Lead technical initiatives and mentor other engineers
  • Draft and maintain clear documentation and diagrams for architecture and decisions

Key requirements
