Overview

As Product Manager for Data and Analytics on Mystra, you translate strategic initiatives into actionable epics and features for a scientific data platform. You ensure delivery is scientifically valid, technically sound, and user-aligned for experts. You bridge science, data services, engineering, design, and user research to keep momentum. Responsibilities

  • Break down strategic initiatives into 2–4 well-scoped epics and features with clear rationale
  • Create living context documents detailing workflows, personas, edge cases, and constraints
  • Collaborate with Scientific SMEs and Data Services to ensure scientific soundness and architectural feasibility
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and User Research to validate feasibility and user-centeredness
  • Lead delivery kick-offs and bi-weekly check-ins, making clear prioritisation calls
  • Identify recurring ambiguities and feed insights back to leadership to sharpen next initiatives

Key requirements

  • Fluency with genomic data, including reading GWAS papers, understanding p-values, effect sizes, and population diversity
  • Experience in product management or product ownership
  • Ability to define features with explicit done criteria and manage story-level details
  • Decisiveness and execution mindset to keep teams moving
  • Clear and direct written and spoken communication with cross-functional stakeholders
