Head of Property Finance

Overview

In this senior role you will lead the financial management of a diverse property portfolio and related commercial activities. You will partner with the CFO and senior stakeholders to drive performance, governance and strategic initiatives across budgeting, reporting, VAT, audits and financial controls. You’ll manage a small finance team and contribute to major property initiatives, procurement and project delivery. This is a high-impact, commercially influential leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Oversee property accounting, service charges and commercial tenant invoicing
• Ensure strong financial controls, audit readiness and regulatory compliance
• Manage VAT and statutory reporting requirements
• Support procurement, contract management and major property initiatives
• Lead and develop a small finance team

Key requirements

• CCAB-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
• Significant experience in financial management and reporting
• Strong understanding of VAT, audit and financial controls
• Advanced Excel and accounting systems expertise
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Property, real estate, charity or commercial finance experience desirable
