Overview
In this role you will own and deliver bespoke mechanical systems from concept to delivery, collaborating with customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams. You’ll lead projects, shape specifications, and drive development and commissioning in a technically challenging sector. You will apply hands-on problem-solving and project management to ensure profitable, high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects from specification through manufacture, testing and delivery
- Manage customer requirements, technical specs and project documentation
- Produce and manage manufacturing and fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor
- Source components, manage suppliers and maintain project profitability
- Develop inspection, testing and commissioning procedures
- Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor and manage a junior engineer within the team
- Visit customer and supplier sites in the UK and internationally when required
Key requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong knowledge of fabricated pipework systems and fluid transfer
- Experience managing engineering projects and delivering customer solutions
- Knowledge of CE Marking, ATEX and PED
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD
