Overview

In this role you will support Grenade’s growth by delivering robust financial analysis that drives NSV growth, gross margin, CM%, and trade spend efficiency. You’ll partner with sales, marketing and operations to translate customer economics into actionable plans and ensure financials underpin strategic initiatives. You’ll own budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, and help optimise pricing, promotions, and portfolio decisions. This is a high-impact role in a fast-growing consumer brand with a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

  • Own NSV, gross margin and CM% budgeting and forecasting by customer, channel and product
  • Deliver monthly performance analysis explaining drivers of NSV and CM% vs budget/forecast/prior year
  • Prepare and maintain customer and channel P&Ls and identify margin opportunities
  • Collaborate on pricing and trade spend decisions, evaluate promotions, and optimise promo ROI
  • Analyse product/category profitability and support SKU rationalisation and format changes
  • Build NPD business cases and scenario models, stress-testing assumptions
  • Provide cross-functional insights to sales, marketing and operations to improve financial performance
  • Develop and improve reporting tools/dashboards (Power BI/Excel) for timely commercial insights
  • Mentor junior analysts and promote a data-driven, high-performance finance mindset
  • Support JBP negotiations, tenders and customer terms with robust financial analyses
  • Embed NSV and CM% thinking into customer plans and activation calendars
  • Communicate clear financial insights to leadership and senior teams

Key requirements

  • Qualified or finalist accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience in commercial finance, FP&A or revenue management in FMCG/consumer goods
  • Strong understanding of NSV, CM%, trade spend and promo ROI
  • Experience supporting budgeting/forecasting
  • Advanced Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with ERP/finance systems
  • Excellent communication and ability to present insights to senior stakeholders
