Senior Process Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will shape technical solutions and set engineering standards while supporting a skilled engineering team. Working remotely from Europe, you’ll blend hands-on design work with project decisions across international projects. You’ll influence concepts, establish best practices, and drive technical excellence in industrial installations. Responsibilities

• Design and validate process schemes including heat/mass balances, equipment sizing, calculations and documentation
• Define and improve engineering methodologies, tools, and design standards for consistency
• Collaborate with project teams through execution, assess risks, and ensure feasibility of solutions
• Provide technical leadership as an authoritative reviewer and mentor engineers
• Contribute to development of new technologies, planning trials and scaling results
• Participate in commissioning and optimisation of installations, troubleshooting and tuning parameters
• Interface with customers and suppliers, supporting discussions and acceptance procedures
• Share knowledge and strengthen internal engineering practices

Key requirements

• Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on process engineering
• Proven hands-on experience in process design, industrial projects and thermal processes
• Experience with process calculations, equipment sizing, heat/mass balances, P&IDs
• Involvement in design, commissioning and optimisation of industrial installations
• Strong technical judgement and ownership of engineering decisions
• Experience in international engineering environments and cross-disciplinary collaboration
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus
• Willingness to travel internationally
