Overview

In this Strategic Project Manager role, you will lead high-priority, cross-functional projects that advance Tesco’s UK priorities. You’ll bring structure to complex initiatives and align multi-functional teams, including senior leaders, to deliver on plan. The role offers exposure to a varied portfolio and a chance to broaden your business knowledge while developing leadership skills. You will contribute to a wider Programme, Projects and Change community and help shape impactful initiatives that support Tesco’s mission.

Responsibilities

  • Define and scope projects/programmes with a clear vision, objectives and plan
  • Mobilise cross-functional teams and embed ways of working
  • Establish governance for oversight and direction
  • Engage and align stakeholders across levels to deliver the plan
  • Manage interdependencies and impacts across projects/programmes
  • Drive progress, identify and manage issues/risks/opportunities
  • Support subject matter expertise within the team and across the community

Key requirements

  • Proven track record delivering projects or programmes
  • Experience managing project teams and building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Confident in influencing stakeholders and facilitating governance sessions and meetings with senior leaders
  • Proactive, accountable, and able to drive progress
  • Clear understanding of personal development goals in this role
