Overview

In this role you will provide proactive, customer-focused HR support to managers and colleagues across DHL’s logistics network. You will advise on policy interpretation, support workforce planning, recruitment, and key HR projects, ensuring compliance with employment law. You will manage employee cases, sickness absence, and collaborate with Occupational Health to support redeployment and return-to-work. You will deliver accurate HR data to inform decisions and work closely with HR Business Partners to drive the HR agenda. This site-based role requires effective stakeholder management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support to contribute to the HR agenda and deliver proactive, customer-focused service on matters such as employee relations, policy, processes, recruitment, and key projects
  • Advise managers on policy interpretation and employment legislation to ensure consistency and best practice
  • Support workforce planning and management, including organisation design, forecasting resourcing needs, and talent identification
  • Manage employee cases related to disciplinary, grievance, and sickness absence, including advisory support and formal processes
  • Collaborate with managers on sickness absence management, redeployment where appropriate, and facilitating return-to-work
  • Provide accurate HR data to HRBP and managers to enable successful HR processes

Key requirements

  • Previous HR experience
  • Case management experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Experience within a logistics business (Desirable)
  • A CIPD level 3 qualification or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Trade union experience
  • Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Willingness to develop in a fast-paced site-based environment
