Overview

As Value Stream Technical Lead, you will steer Safran’s most complex engineering programmes, aligning technical, industrial and commercial goals across global teams. You’ll partner with senior leaders to drive performance, cost control and quality, while shaping best practices in project management. This role focuses on cross-functional delivery, risk governance and stakeholder engagement to achieve strategic business outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Lead and govern major engineering development programmes from start to finish, meeting performance, cost, quality and schedule targets.
  • Serve as the senior interface to customers, partners, suppliers and executives to drive programme outcomes.
  • Define and execute delivery strategies aligning technical, industrial and commercial objectives across global teams.
  • Drive milestones, NRC/RC targets and risk-reduction within robust governance.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional Integrated Programme Teams across engineering, industrialisation, procurement, quality and supply chain.
  • Lead reviews, steering committees and key decision forums with clear recommendations and escalation paths.
  • Oversee risk, opportunity and change management to support informed decision-making and mitigation of risks.
  • Champion project management excellence and adoption of best practices across the organisation.

Key requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline or substantial equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience leading large-scale engineering development programmes in aerospace, defence or highly regulated industries.
  • Proven track record delivering complex programmes to target cost, schedule, technical performance and quality.
  • Strong executive stakeholder management including strategic customer relationships.
  • Ability to lead geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
