Overview
In this role you will lead site-based delivery for complex, high-value construction projects in Greater London, reporting to the Operations Director. You will manage the operational team, budgets, and key stakeholder relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. You will oversee safety, quality, and contractual processes while providing board-level insight and reports. This position offers a senior leadership opportunity to shape project delivery and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Represent the business interests at senior level internally and externally
- Lead the operational team and ensure adequate resourcing to hit targets
- Oversee project budgets and expenditure
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Conduct regular site visits and participate in CVR reviews
- Prepare reports for Operations Review Meetings and board-level reporting
- Escalate high-delivery-risk projects and implement action plans
- Monitor contractual communications and records (notices, processes)
- Support business development and participate in bid/negotiation processes
- Expand the sub-contractor network with high-standard suppliers
- Deliver regional workshops and supply-chain improvement initiatives
- Champion the company vision, values and behaviours
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ, CDM legislation and Considerate Contractors Scheme
Key requirements
- Extensive construction sector knowledge and senior leadership experience
- Proven track record delivering technically challenging projects with diverse teams
- Strong understanding of Design & Build, JCT and NEC contracts
- Experience managing diverse stakeholders at client, consultant and contractor level
- Strong commercial and operational awareness
