What you will do



  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of prospective adopters, completing Prospective Adopter Reports (PARs) and statutory documentation.

  • Conduct home visits, interviews, and analysis to determine suitability for adoption approval.

  • Prepare and present adopter assessment reports to the Adoption Panel and Agency Decision Makers.

  • Lead family finding activities for children with adoption plans, identifying and evaluating suitable adoptive families.

  • Prepare matching reports and adoption placement documentation in line with statutory timescales and regulatory requirements.

Person Specification


Qualifications



  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised professional qualification.

  • Registration with Social Care Wales.

  • Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).


Experience



  • Post-qualification experience within children’s social care.

  • Previous experience completing adoption assessments and adopter approvals.

  • Experience in family finding, matching, and permanence planning.
