• OverseedailyUKimportandexportcustomsclearanceoperationstoensureefficientandcompliantprocesses.
• Leadandmanagethecustomsteam,allocatedailytaskseffectively,andelevateoverallteamproductivityandservicequality.
• ReviewcustomsentrydocumentationtoensuredataaccuracyandcompliancewithHMRCandrelevantregulatoryrequirements.
• Managecustomsinspections,holds,clearanceexceptions,andresolveissuesbycommunicatingpromptlywithclients,HMRC,andrelatedauthorities.
• Guidetheteaminresolvingcomplexcustomsissuesandcontinuouslyoptimiseoperationalworkflowsandstandardprocedures.
• Maintainsmoothcommunicationandcollaborationwithclients,warehouse,transportationteams,andoverseasagentstoensureseamlessclearance.
• MonitorUKcustomspoliciesandregulatorychangestoensureongoingcompanycompliance.

MandarinSpeakingCustomsBrokerageSupervisor-TheSkillsYou’llNeedtoSucceed:

• FluentinMandarinandproficientinEnglishasaworkinglanguage(capableofcommunicatingeffectivelywithclientsandHMRC).
• ExperienceinUKcustomsbrokerageorinternationallogisticscustomsoperations.
• Proventeammanagementexperiencewithatrackrecordofleadingacustomsteamindailyoperations.You’llbemanaging1-2teammembers.
• Experienceinairfreight,freightforwarding,expresscourier,orcross-borderlogisticsispreferred.
• FamiliarwithUKimport/exportclearanceprocessesandHMRCregulations.
• ProficientinusingCDS(CustomsDeclarationService)andassociateddeclarationsystems.
• SolidunderstandingofHSCodes,ImportVAT,CustomsDuties,RulesofOrigin,andcompliancestandards.
• Abilitytoindependentlyhandlecustomsinspections,clearanceexceptions,andcustomercomplaints.
• Strongriskidentificationabilityandcomplianceawareness.
• Strongsenseofresponsibility,detail-oriented,rigorous,andhighlyexecution-focused.
• Excellentteammanagement,communication,coordination,andcustomerserviceskills.
• Adaptabletoafast-pacedlogisticsenvironmentwithstrongstressmanagementandproblem-solvingskills.
