We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Health & Social Care Lecturer to join our successful curriculum team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator or industry professional to help shape the future of learners studying Health & Social Care programmes, particularly at Levels 1 and 2. You will deliver engaging and inclusive teaching that supports students to achieve their full potential, develop industry-relevant skills, and progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further study. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to curriculum development, course leadership, student support, quality assurance, and employer engagement activities., As a Health & Social Care Lecturer, you will:
- Deliver inspirational teaching across Health & Social Care programmes, with a focus on Levels 1 and 2.
- Plan, prepare, assess and monitor student learning to ensure high levels of achievement and progression.
- Provide tutorial and pastoral support, acting as a Personal Tutor where required.
- Create a positive, inclusive and student-centred learning environment.
- Develop and maintain strong links with employers and placement providers.
- Support students in securing and completing meaningful work placements.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, course evaluation and quality improvement activities.
- Lead designated courses, ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements and quality standards.
- Monitor student attendance, progress and achievement, implementing timely interventions where necessary.
- Participate in open events, careers fairs, school liaison activities and recruitment events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve teaching, learning and assessment.A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care or a related subject.
- Experience working within the health, care or education sector.
- Knowledge of current Health & Social Care practices and industry developments.
- Experience of teaching or training learners, ideally within Further Education.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and supporting learner success.
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
