Autism Support Assistant – Milton Keynes

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking an Autism Support Assistant to work within a specialist resource base attached to a mainstream school in Milton Keynes. This full-time role starts in September 2026 and is expected to continue until July 2027. You will support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition to engage successfully in school life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualised support throughout the school day
• Support communication and sensory regulation
• Implement personalised learning strategies
• Encourage independence and confidence
• Liaise with teachers and external professionals

Pre-requisites:

• Experience supporting pupils with Autism
• Understanding of sensory needs and communication strategies
• Patient and flexible approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Two references within the last two years from a related field
