SEND Teaching Assistant – Salford

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join an SEN school in the area Salford to cover on a Long-term basis. The full-time post is due to start In October 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in their learning and development.
• Providing 1:1 and group support to students with SEND, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
• Assisting the class teacher in implementing tailored education plans.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment to help students achieve their potential.

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant qualifications in education or SEND support.
• Proven experience supporting students with SEND.
• Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and inclusive teaching approaches.
• Two education or school-based references.
• The legal right to work in the UK
• A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one
