Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEN Early Years)
Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Our client, a reputable school in the Wirral, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (SEN Early Years) to join their team.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs within a nurturing environment that values equity and inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing nurturing and professional relationships with pupils
- Supporting pupils to engage in classroom and lunchtime activities
- Assisting pupils with activities outlined in their Individual Education Plans
- Working collaboratively with the wider staff team during lunch and other times
- Demonstrating an active understanding of safeguarding issues related to working in schools
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting
- Friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic team player qualities
- Ability to work effectively under instructions from teachers and senior leaders
- An understanding of safeguarding procedures and their importance in schools
- A TA qualification (desirable)
- An understanding of Autistic Spectrum Condition (desirable)
- Responsibility and initiative in your work
