SEND Teaching Assistant

About the role:

justteachers are supporting a primary school in Coventry to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with ADHD and associated learning needs. This is a full-time role with a September 2026 start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school has a dedicated inclusion team and places a strong emphasis on positive behaviour support, emotional wellbeing and staff development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted classroom support for pupils with ADHD




• Implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies




• Promote engagement and emotional regulation




• Work closely with teaching staff and the SENDCo

Pre-requisites:

• Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)




• Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)




• A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
