The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out a range of servicing, maintenance, diagnostic and repair work while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Carrying out a variety of servicing, maintenance and repair operations.
- Diagnosing vehicle faults and completing necessary repairs.
- Performing defined assembly operations and maintenance repairs to a high standard.
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and in accordance with safety and manufacturer standards.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all service and repair work.
- Providing excellent customer support, technical advice and guidance where required.
- Working effectively as part of a professional and supportive workshop team.
About You
To be considered for this Vehicle Technician position, you’ll ideally have:
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – essential.
- At least 2 years’ experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or within the automotive industry.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, servicing and repair procedures.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail and a professional approach to your work.
- A positive, hard working and team-focused attitude.
- Your own tools and toolbox.
- A full manual UK driving licence – essential. Licence checks will be carried out.
- A current MOT Tester licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
