Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Field Service Engineer to their team, covering customers throughout the region with occasional wider UK travel.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, working independently and dealing directly with customers.

The Role

  • Completing annual servicing and routine maintenance
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
  • Responding to breakdowns and providing effective technical support
  • Supporting system upgrades and software updates
  • Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Providing customers with technical support and product guidance
  • Completing service reports and documentation accurately
  • Managing your own diary, travel and workload
  • Building strong relationships with customers and representing the business professionally
  • Developing specialist knowledge of ASRS equipment and technology

About You

  • Comfortable working independently at customer sites
  • Customer-focused with good communication skills
  • Organised and able to manage your own workload
  • Proactive and willing to learn specialist equipment
  • Professional and presentable
  • Able to travel throughout the region
  • A full UK driving licence holder
  • Experience with automated storage, materials handling, industrial machinery, automation or similar equipment would be advantageous, but is not essential.

What matters most is having the right engineering fundamentals, a practical approach and the willingness to learn.

What You’ll Get

  • £38,(Apply online only) – £40,(Apply online only) basic salary
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Company van, with the option for personal use
  • Company laptop
  • Company mobile phone
  • Full tools and equipment
  • Comprehensive specialist product training
  • Training opportunities in the UK and Germany
  • Pension
  • Life assurance
  • Income protection
  • Annual discretionary bonus

  • Work-Life Balance

Despite being a field-based position, this role offers an excellent work-life balance.

Overnight stays are very rare, and weekend work is also very rare, with the normal working pattern being Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm.

There may occasionally be additional travel, weekend work or overnight stays to meet customer requirements, but these are the exception rather than the norm.
