Test Technician
Role: Test Technician
Location: Aberdeen, Onsite
Type: Initially offered on a temporary basis, with a clear intention to transition to permanent employment for the right candidate.
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (D.O.E)
Test Technician is required for a specialist technology organisation within the oil & gas industry, focused on high-speed wireless communication, data analytics, and advanced signal-processing technology.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a technician with strong electronics, testing, troubleshooting, and data analysis experience, working across both onshore and offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and monitor testing processes across electronic systems and equipment
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate test equipment and systems
- Analyse and interpret test data and identify faults or anomalies
- Troubleshoot electronic issues and carry out necessary repairs
- Document bugs and issues clearly so they can be reproduced and investigated by engineers
- Prepare and document accurate test results and reports
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Test Technician or in a similar technical role
- Strong hands-on experience with testing and measurement equipment
- Strong understanding of test procedures and data interpretation
- Electronics troubleshooting and repair experience
- HNC in Electronics or equivalent technical qualification
- Degree in a relevant technical field is advantageous
