Fire and Security Engineer

Peterborough & Surrounding Areas / Cambridgeshire

Basic Salary £34,500 – £38,500 + Travel + Overtime

We are recruiting for two Fire and Security Engineer’s to join a well-established and respected Fire & Security specialist covering Peterborough and the wider Cambridgeshire area.

The company is an established Gent Integrator with a strong presence across the region and a varied customer base. They offer a stable working environment, a manageable call-out rota, strong benefits and plenty of overtime for engineers who want to increase their earnings.

Responsibilities as a Fire and Security Engineer

  • Servicing, maintaining and fault-finding Fire & Security systems
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
  • Attending reactive faults and breakdowns
  • Working across a varied portfolio of customer sites
  • Completing service documentation accurately
  • Providing a professional service to customers
  • Working across commercial, industrial, residential, retail, hospitality and education environments

Package for a Fire and Security Engineer

  • £34,500 – £38,500 basic salary
  • 40-hour working week
  • Travel paid after just 15 minutes each way
  • Plenty of overtime available (if wanted)
  • 1 in 8 week call-out rota
  • £160 standby payment for the call-out week
  • Call-outs paid at overtime rates, door-to-door
  • 23 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Holiday entitlement increases with service

  • Additional payments available on selected projects where deadlines or additional requirements apply
