Placement Student- UK Logistics Centre Operations

We are looking for an enthusiastic Operations Placement Student to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Corporate/CBS segment in Daventry, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry. This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2027. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities within the facility and rolling out improvement projects.
• Using Continuous Improvement and Industrial Engineering techniques to measure processes and quantify improvements.
• Ergonomics projects to improve manual handling processes with the use of lifting equipment.
• Coordinating cross-functional UK Logistics Centre projects with strategic importance to business transitions or processes.
• Review and improve current picking & packing processes for production & aftermarket customers.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions, data analysis and presenting findings to the leadership team. Share best practices with other sites in the Cummins network.We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a Business/Supply Chain/Logistics/Planning/Statistics degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present confidently to a wide range of stakeholders.
• Solution orientated with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel would be beneficial.
