Milk Education is looking for resilient, patient and enthusiastic SEMH Learning Support Assistants to join schools across Darlington and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to a young person’s education, confidence and wellbeing.
THE ROLE
As an SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Help pupils manage emotions and develop positive coping strategies
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Support pupils to engage with learning and classroom activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Work alongside teachers and wider support staff
- Create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
