Do you enjoy turning complexity into clarity? Are you at your best when coordinating across teams, bringing structure, visibility, and momentum to strategic work?

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

This is an opportunity to join our Global Propositions team in English, where you will play a key role in helping a large, global function stay aligned, informed, and focused on delivering its strategic priorities.

About the role

As Planning & Strategy Co‑ordinator, you will sit at the centre of planning and strategy activity across Propositions. You will help ensure that teams are working to a clear and consistent rhythm, with the right information, at the right time, to support effective decision‑making.

You will support major strategic activity, including the Core English Strategy and annual business planning cycle, as well as leadership forums and department‑wide communications. Your work will enable greater clarity, alignment and pace across a complex, fast‑moving environment.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate planning cycles and key forums, ensuring teams are aligned to priorities, timelines, and decision points
  • Coordinate inputs from across teams to create a clear view of progress, dependencies, and risks
  • Prepare high‑quality materials (including presentations, briefings, pre‑reads, and communications content) to support strategic initiatives, such as North Star, Core English Strategy and Business Planning
  • Ensure clear, timely and consistent communication across the department, translating complex information into accessible updates
  • Support the delivery of leadership forums such as Town Halls and strategy updates
  • Maintain and improve shared spaces (e.g. Teams, SharePoint) so information is easy to find and up to date
  • Work with Internal Communications teams to align messaging and maximise engagement
  • Track progress and identify opportunities to improve planning, coordination and communication ways of working

This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face‑to‑face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long‑term health condition.

About You

You are highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple teams and priorities. You bring structure to complexity and communicate with clarity and confidence. You will have experience in a coordination, planning or programme support role, and/or communications role, and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Planning and programme coordination
  • Organisation and prioritisation
  • Communication and storytelling
  • Stakeholder management
  • Leadership forum support
  • Progress tracking and delivery management
  • Presentation development
  • Collaboration tools (PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Internal communications
  • ELT or Education Sector knowledge
  • Strategy and business planning awareness
  • Collaboration platform management
  • Continuous improvement
  • Cross-functional facilitation
  • Internal event and town hall coordination
