Start People are recruiting on behalf of a leading and rapidly growing logistics and distribution business based in Doncaster for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join their night operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and people-focused leader who has a proven track record of managing warehouse teams on a permanent night shift pattern. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational performance, maintaining high standards of health & safety, and ensuring customer expectations are consistently exceeded.
The Role
- Lead and manage a team within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Drive productivity, efficiency, and operational KPIs across the shift.
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Coach, mentor, and develop warehouse colleagues.
- Manage performance, attendance, and engagement across the team.
- Work closely with senior management to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all customer and service level requirements are achieved.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Shift Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Operations Manager or similar leadership role.
- Experience managing teams on a permanent night shift pattern is essential.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- Proven longevity and stability within previous employment.
- Ability to lead from the front and operate within a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, Health & Safety, and operational best practice.
