About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Process Optimization Engineer to join their team in East London . This role is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and profitability of existing chemical manufacturing processes. You will utilize advanced analytical techniques, data analysis, and process simulation to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data to identify opportunities for improvement in yield, throughput, and energy consumption.
- Develop and implement optimization strategies for existing chemical processes.
- Conduct process simulations to test and validate proposed improvements before implementation.
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions.
- Monitor the performance of optimized processes and ensure sustained improvements.
- Document optimization projects, including methodology, results, and economic benefits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, DynoChem).
- Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment in East London .
