Real Estate Development Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Real Estate Development Manager to oversee a portfolio of development projects in East London. This role involves managing all phases of the development lifecycle, from site acquisition and feasibility studies to design, construction, and project completion. You will coordinate with architects, contractors, legal teams, and government authorities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This is a key leadership position for an experienced professional within the Eastern Cape property market to drive significant development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end development process for multiple real estate projects concurrently.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site analysis, and financial modeling for potential developments.
• Oversee project design, planning, and permitting processes with relevant authorities.
• Select and manage contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and quality control throughout the construction phase.
• Ensure compliance with all zoning regulations, building codes, and environmental standards in East London.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in real estate development project management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex real estate development projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project scheduling, and contract negotiation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with the East London development landscape and regulatory environment is a strong advantage.
